Fallas – 1 to 19 of March
This traditional event, declared Human Heritage by UNESCO, summons thousands of tourists and it’s for sure the most felt moment of the year: the city seems to stop, enormous and coloured sculptures, called ninot, are set up in the streets. Satire, religion, pure fun, well-rounded art mix up together with firecrackers background and fireworks that involved all the city in a swirl of colours, music, frenzy, wish of party time: Valencia is totally transformed and we all become children again. Definitely, it’s a celebration not to be missed!
Semana Santa Marinera – Easter Week in the Maritime District
Very evocative, the Semana Santa marinera takes place in the maritime area of Valencia, between Cabanyal, Grao and Serreria, in the district called Poblats Maritims. Processions of different corporations and fraternities of men and women in its characteristic costumes are soaked of suggestion and represent the Passion and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The book’s Fair – 26 of April – 6 of May
Arrived to the 53rd edition, it takes place in the ideal scenery of Vivero’s Gardens. It’s one of the most important events of the city, and for the passionate readers is a real and genuine celebration. Besides the books there are performances, writing labs, concerts, meetings and discussions with the famous writers who participate in the fair and specific programs to introduce children to reading and writing.
The Andalusian Fair – 28 of April – 6 of May
If you want to celebrate, to listen to vibrant Andalusian music, to watch Flamenco’s performances and equestrian shows, as well as eating and drinking excellently tasting dishes of the Andalusian cooking, this is your opportunity. A blast of pure cheerfulnesses, a concentrate of Spain, an area of Turia Park is transformed in a Seville’s corner. The cultural Andalusian Associations of Valencia organize this incredible celebration, where Flamenco will make you vibrate and dance.
Marathon Trinidad Alfonso – 2 of December
Valencia is a running city; it hosts an extraordinary athletic event, one of the best marathon of Spain and Europe; thousands of participants, a panoramic and lane itinerary, more than 200 of refreshment points, the city stops to receive and celebrate the runners. To give you some numbers, there are more than 300.000 runners. The Trinidad Alfonso Marathon has an excellent organization and one of the fastest routes of the world.
The wind festival – 2 and 3 of April
Who hasn’t had a coloured kite? This event takes place on the Mediterranean shore, just in the Malvarrosa beach. The sky is filled up of coloured and giant kites. More than 150 kite’s pilots challenged themselves in spectacular aerial exhibitions. This event calls more than 60.000 visitors. You can participate or you can simply be a spectator. If you want, there are also kite’s labs! This is a date for young and old, and you can’t lose it.

This is the perfect circumstance for discovering and tasting the best products of this region. Many appointments, countless exhibitions, good occasions for exquisite palates to know better this surprising region and its products.

Two days of beautiful concerts, close to the sea. And for this 2018 we have celebrities like Simple Minds and Prodigy. There will be also conferences, labs, expositions, food trucks with national and international kitchen, beach club, VIP area and golden ticket with front stage. Marenostrum experience – 6 and 7 of July
This is an electronic music festival that takes place every year in Valencia. We can’t obviously forget that Ibiza is really close! To give you an idea, we want to name: Steve Aoki, the Nervo, Timmy Trumpet and Quintino between many others.
Electrosplash – 27 to 29 of April
At Marina of Valencia: always talking about electronic music EDM, this is a vanguard festival that gathers the best artists of underground, techno and minimal music. Many important personalities, like Angel Molina and Tania Volcano, arrive in Valencia for this special occasion.
Bigblast festival – 5 of May
The artists of Barong Family arrive in the city, at the Repubblica music hall. These performers took part no less than in Tomorrowland, the world and very known event of electronic music that is celebrated every year in Belgium.
Percumon – 1 to 3 of June
It’s an international percussions festival that takes place in Puerto Sagunto. A vibrant appointment for tribal music enthusiasts.
PhotOn Festival – 8 to 12 of May
It’s a photojournalism festival. The photos have the aim to make everyone think, to denounce and to show the work of many journalists that mass media too often don’t reveal. Many relevant films and conferences are linked to the festival.
Bicifest – 8 to 31 of May
Valencia is the Mediterranean capital of bicycles, is friendly with sustainable mobility and is perfect for cyclists: biking is ecological, economic and healthy. The appointments devoted to this means of transport are really a lot: courses, labs, expositions and activities for kids. There are also many and useful courses about road safety when we go by bicycle. Bicifest is firstly a bike’s celebration!
